THIS IS SO SIGNIFICANT, IT WILL FOREVER BE A PART OF WORLD HISTORY.
Secret US Embassy Cables Leaked
The following documents will give people around the world an unprecedented insight into US Government foreign activities.
The cables, which date from 1966 up until the end of February this year, contain confidential communications between 274 embassies in countries throughout the world and the State Department in Washington DC. 15,652 of the cables are classified Secret.
The cables show the extent of US spying on its allies and the UN; turning a blind eye to corruption and human rights abuse in "client states"; backroom deals with supposedly neutral countries; lobbying for US corporations; and the measures US diplomats take to advance those who have access to them.

Infringement of Free Speech?
The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA):
In the United States, a new law proposal called The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) was introduced this past September. If passed, this law will allow the American government, under the influence of corporate media, to censor the internet as they see fit. Similar to China and Iran, this will be a powerful tool used to censor information and keep the general public blind to websites such as WikiLeaks and other sources of information.
Read more HERE
Quickly, we must get informed and begin to question why it is politicians are making decisions such as these without public consent. Google it.

Dirty Oil: Syncrude, Shell and Suncor Euthanize Canadian Wildlife
Oil giant Syncrude has cost the lives of approximately 2,000 birds. This comes after yet another death toll on October 25, 2010 when over 350 ducks landed on another tailing pond in northern Alberta.
Syncrude will be fined the maximum under the applicable federal and provincial laws: $300,000 for the federal charge and $500,000 for the provincial charge (which by the way is less than half the profits made on a daily basis by each Syncrude and her ugly sisters).
Syncrude spokeswoman Cheryl Robb responded by saying:
"Syncrude is eager to move forward from this incident. It's haunted us and it's something that we sincerely regret and have from the beginning."
Fuck you Cheryl. And your band of liars.
No vast amounts of money will recoup the lost lives of these 1,950 plus birds. Whether it's spilling millions of gallons of oil into the ocean or killing thousands of animals through further development of the tar sands/ oilsands, we refuse to listen to anymore rhetoric. Let's all be honest here, every time this sort of thing happens, the proper way to conduct procedure is an afterthought. Let's stop listening to corporate diplomats down-play their damage. Unfortunately, politicians in Canada are just as bad.
$3 million dollars in penalty is scraps for these folk and we need to start holding industry heads under their own oily waters.

Syncrude faces one count under Section 155 of the Alberta Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act for allegedly failing to ensure that hazardous substances directly or indirectly not come into contact or contaminate any animals, plants, food or drink.
It is also charged with one count of violating the federal Migratory Birds Convention Act for allegedly depositing or permitting the deposit of a substance harmful to migratory birds in waters or an area frequented by birds.

Uganda's 'Gay List'
Earlier this month, Rolling Stone newspaper -- not affiliated with the U.S. magazine with the same name -- featured 100 pictures of Ugandan gays and lesbians. Next to the list was a yellow strip with the words "hang them."

READ MORE HERE
Uganda is likely to pass a law within months that will make homosexuality a capital offence, joining 37 other countries in the continent where American evangelical Christian groups are increasingly spreading bigotry (as usual).
