Nearly 73 million sharks are killed every year to supply Chinese consumers with their prized delicacy; soup.

Regardless, of whether or not shark-fin soup is considered a cultural tradition, world populations of ocean life were here first. They are an animal to be revered and to rationalize the careless slaughter of this species needs to be stopped.

2. Core coolant failure as backup systems fail.

3. Reactor continues to create heat.

4. Emergency venting valve systems unable to release pressure build-up in containment vessel fast enough.

5. Uranium fuel melts metal containment housing as core temperatures soar past 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit.

When asked in November about the number of elephants claimed by freight trains this past 2010 year, Minister for Environment and Forests, Jairam Ramesh said the government of Assam has recorded a total of only four deaths.

This comes after 7 elephants were killed in September 2010 alone where two baby elephants strayed onto the tracks as five elders followed behind in hopes of guiding them to safety (see photo above).

On whether any speed limit would be fixed on the movement of trains along the elephant corridor, Mr. Ramesh said it was not possible to implement speed limits in the entire 160 km stretch of railway tract from Siliguri to Alipurduar. Dirty Oil: Syncrude, Shell and Suncor Euthanize Canadian Wildlife

Oil giant Syncrude has cost the lives of approximately 2,000 birds. This comes after yet another death toll on October 25, 2010 when over 350 ducks landed on another tailing pond in northern Alberta.

Syncrude will be fined the maximum under the applicable federal and provincial laws: $300,000 for the federal charge and $500,000 for the provincial charge (which by the way is less than half the profits made on a daily basis by each Syncrude and her ugly sisters).

Syncrude spokeswoman Cheryl Robb responded by saying:
"Syncrude is eager to move forward from this incident. It's haunted us and it's something that we sincerely regret and have from the beginning."

As you may already know:

April 20, 2010 - the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, 50 miles off the southeast tip of Louisiana. In yet another failed attempt, a "high-tech" nation threw brute mass, old tools and golf balls at the oil spewing from the ocean floor.

On April 22, 2010, the rig sank, leaving the well gushing, causing the largest oil spill in US history (approximately 800,000 gallons of oil each day).

"There is flow coming up the pipe. Just now, I don't know the exact rate," BP's chief operating officer, Doug Suttles, told NBC on June 4th (45 days after the incident began).

Thus far, an estimated 21 million gallons and 46 million gallons of oil have bled out into the sea since the rig exploded.

Six weeks since the spill began, BP's stock has lost more than one-third of its value, equivalent to $62.7 billion in market capitalization.

Both Transocean and BP continue to pass the blame without providing any answers.

People need to be held accountable when in a position of great power. Considering BP is the fourth largest company in the world, I say; OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.

These actions follow her charges filed in April against Baxter AG and Avir Green Hills Biotechnology of Austria for producing contaminated bird flu vaccine, alleging this was a deliberate act to cause and profit from a pandemic. Similar to previous "pandemics", the swine flu business may be premised on a massive lie that there is no natural virus out there that poses a threat to the population. Burgermeister presents evidence leading to the belief that the bird flu and swine flu viruses have, in fact, been bioengineered in laboratories using funding supplied by the WHO and other government agencies, among others. This "swine flu" is a hybrid of part swine flu, part human flu and part bird flu, something that can only come from laboratories according to many experts.

With the recent “pandemic” H1N1 virus the threat of forced vaccinations could be upon us.

We'd just like to thank Mr. Terry Paholek (The Physics Laboratory - Edmonton, AB) for making these demos possible. Not only do we think that they sound killer, but he truly helped us make these recordings affordable. We all know being an independent band means limited finances and we're really excited to start passing this demo around to labels (small and large). Not that we believe labels solve all problems but we feel as a band that is beginning to establish a name for themselves, it's a step closer to where we need to be.

The Physics Demos

So it's only been under a year since the release of our first EP. But as you all may know, we've been busy writing and tracking demos for our upcoming full-length. We'll be using these to shop around and hopefully work with some bigger producers (well...bigger underground producers). We have a few in mind as we'd like to capture a very raw, intense sound for the new record as opposed to a more polished, over-produced one.

The wait is over. We'll be releasing 3 of the new songs this month. We feel it necessary to get an idea of what you all are thinking/saying about the new stuff. So this is it. The year 2000 and niner. It's crazy to think about how much has taken place in the previous year. '08 was quite generous to us. It's also very easy (as a band or individual) to feel like you didn't accomplish enough but we try hard at focusing on the positives vs. the negatives. Here are some positives things/things worth mentioning:

Now after taking some time off, we plan on setting some major goals for ourselves as we hope to give this thing a bigger, more intensive adrenaline shot to the ass. We're still in desperate need of a bass player but we're trying our very best to convince someone we know is a perfect fit (D. Man, you know who you are). In the meantime, we've been busy buckling down and preparing ourselves for the new record. So far we have approximately 8 songs and we just finished tracking 3 of which you may end up hearing sooner than you may think (shhhhh).

So if you're not familiar with Terry Gilliam, you should be. He is the personification of pure genius. He is the mastermind behind movies like Brazil (inspired by Orwell's 1984), Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Hunter S. Thompson), 12 Monkeys (inspired by the French short film La Jetée) and Time Bandits to name a few. If you haven't seen any of said movies, I highly recommend you blitzkrieg your local Blockbuster and snatch up any one of his films. You will not be disappointed. As you might be able to tell, I am a zealous fan and can't wait for his upcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus starring Heath Ledger in his final attempt at living/acting. Teaser below.

Cantankerous Negotiations

Just a quick update on what's going on with us as of late. Well, first off, I got to hang out with In Flames on their bus for a few hours Saturday night. That's right, In Flames. Anyways, as many of you have noticed, we are recording again! Hold your horses, though. These are demos and there are only 3 of them. The reason for the recording is so we can shop the songs to some bigger name producers in the States and have them melt with our sweet, sweet sounds and agree to produce our next album. So, unfortunately, you probably won't get to hear them. Well.....okay, here's what we'll do. If you head over to our Myspace page and start helping us campaign (sending messages to all your friends, posting bulletins, etc.) to help us get to 80,000 plays by the end of December, we will post one (and ONLY ONE) of the new songs. Remember these are the doctor's orders.
In other news, we are still continuing the hunt for a new bass player, so if you are out there and want to rock the world, give us a shout and we'll set something up, aight?

Audio Incarnations/Musical Transformations

Recently we've been fortunate in finding some studio space to help us prepare for the new record and it's proving to be very inspirational. In the past four weeks we've written over three new songs and now have approximately seven/eight in total. So far we're pretty excited. The way things are shaping up; the music is seemingly less "poppy" and has a much rawer sound, the heavier side has definitely gotten heavier and the softer side is a lot softer. It's neat (yes, I said "neat") cause we're finding a real difference in contrast whereas on Reversals there was a mixer of bothwithin a song. We'll begin demoing shortly.

For now, here is an image of us constructing future rock.
